The brief

Ginger Wings invited us to help them level-up the atmosphere across busy service times—background music that feels great at lunch, big-match energy for live sport, and the ability to turn things up for party nights. It also had to be easy for staff to use and fit neatly into a very tight back-of-house space.

What success looked like (for Ginger Wings)

  • All-day atmosphere: consistent, high-quality background music that can seamlessly switch up for DJs or events.

  • Live sport, anywhere: multiple screens showing matches or branded content at the touch of a button.

  • Effortless control: one simple app on a tablet or phone — no more juggling remotes.

  • Tidy install: everything fitted neatly into the existing space, with minimal disruption to service.

Our Approach

Audac Viro loudspeakers mounted on the ceiling at Ginger Wings for even sound coverage

Clear, punchy sound without the clutter

We specified a compact speaker system to deliver warm, consistent audio throughout the venue, with added low-end “feel” for evening events—so music sounds full without drowning conversation. The system is tuned to the space for clarity at lower levels and headroom when the tempo rises.

Screens that do more than show the score

We installed commercial-grade displays that run for long hours and double as digital signage—ideal for menus, promos, and event announcements. Staff can schedule content in advance, so screens work as brand assets when live sport isn’t on.

Effortless control

Staff switch between TV, Bluetooth, streaming, or DJ with a simple, app-based interface—fast training, zero faff.

Built off-site, dropped in cleanly

To keep the footprint tight (and reduce downtime), we pre-built and tested a neat rack off-site, then delivered it ready to go. That meant a tidy install in a space-restricted area and straightforward servicing later on.

What we installed (kept simple)

  • Commercial displays: that handle long hours and built-in signage—great for game days, menus and promos.

  • Flexible video routing: so each screen can show sport or branded content independently—no extra boxes under the bar, just reliable cabling behind the scenes.

  • Discreet speakers + sub: for even coverage across the room and a little extra punch for evening energy.

  • One tap control: via a clean phone/tablet interface—no technical know-how needed.

Results

  • A noticeably better vibe at all times of day—music simply “feels right” across the venue.

  • Sport done properly—multiple screens, easy switching, and branded content when needed.

  • Happier, faster-onboarded staff thanks to app-based control.

  • Tidy, future-friendly install ready for content and feature updates without a rebuild.

FAQ

It depends on layout and ceiling height, but the goal is even coverage at comfortable volume so guests can talk easily. We design around your floor plan and noise profile.

For background music alone, not always. If you host events, DJs, or want more evening energy, a discreet sub adds fullness at lower volumes (so you don’t have to crank the tops).

Yes — with a simple phone or tablet interface, your staff can control the system easily with no technical training. And if you want, we can add controls for anything you need — from basic day-to-day tasks to advanced setups for bigger projects or technical teams.

They’re built for long hours, come with relevant warranties, and often include signage tools—ideal for menus and promos—unlike many living-room TVs. (For a full explainer, see our Commercial vs Consumer TVs post.)
